The Dementias: What's on the Treatment Horizon?

Description: We will discuss common dementias and general stages to help you anticipate future changes. Learn about the treatment of symptoms, current research, and clinical trials available.

This program is a part of our ongoing Classes for Caregivers series. All sessions are FREE, and held the third Wednesday of each month from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Respite care may be available by request; please notify us when registering to confirm availability.

Presenter:
Melanie Chadwick, MSN, ANP-BC, GNP-BC
Melanie Chadwick has over 15 years of emergency and critical care nursing experience. She currently works as a geriatric nurse practitioner for the Memory Disorders Program at Georgetown University, and serves as sub-investigator in clinical trials of potential new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease. Additionally, Melanie serves as a clinician specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with dementia and related disorders.
