FTD & ALS

Description: We know of several genes that can cause hereditary FTD, ALS, and ALS with FTD, with C9orf72 the most common. Yet genetics is not the complete story, as these conditions can appear without a known genetic cause. Dr. Annie Yang from Inova who specialize in FTD and ALS discuss diagnosis and disease management when both conditions are present in the same person.
This class will be held virtually.

Dr. Annie Yang
Dr. Annie Yang is a specialty care physician board certified in neurology. She joined Inova in 2024 and has been practicing since 2019. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Yang was a clinical neurophysiology fellow at the University of Virginia’s neurology department in Charlottesville, VA.
Dr. Yang’s clinical areas of interest include myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, Guillain-Barré syndrome and neuropathy. She specializes in performing electromyography and nerve conduction studies.
